Since FC Aztec was formed back in 1977 we have called Montsaye Academy home, they have helped us grow the club to where we are now.
Over that time we have had several thousand children pass through our club, where they have been coached not only at football but in valuable life skills and resilience.
We have also had a few hundred coaches in that time too, in fact lots of ex-players have been and are now coaches with us.
As we have grown we have known the need for a dedicated football focused home was needed, to be able to provide children from the local community with a safe and modern environment to help them learn.
For several years now, past and current members have been working hard to make this dream a reality, and we are extremely excited to announce today that with the help and generosity of Rothwell Town Council, North Northants Council, The FA, Sports England and Persimmon homes, this dream has become a reality!
We have been gifted a piece of land off of Glendon Road in Rothwell for the sole purpose of development into our new home, subject to planning and approval.
There will now be lots of hard work to get the ball rolling and build our new home, a place where the club can grow and the FC Aztec family can call home for many years to come.
FC Aztec is eternally grateful to Rothwell Town Council, North Northants Council, The FA, Sports England and Persimmon homes for all of their help and we look forward to working with them moving forward.
